Ford vs. Toyota: Current & Future Truck Lineup

The truck lineups for both Ford and Toyota include three models each, all with differing engines, capabilities, and performance features. There’s a truck that’s ready to meet your budget and necessary specs for those tough West Valley City jobs. See the current lineup below!

Ford Truck Lineup

  • Ford Maverick: Standard 2.5L Full Hybrid with available 2.0L EcoBoost engine. Able to tow up to 4,000 pounds.
  • Ford Ranger: Standard 2.3L EcoBoost engine. Able to tow up to 7,500 pounds
  • Ford F-150: Six available engines, ranging from V6 to V8, and includes a Full Hybrid option. Able to tow up to 14,000 pounds.

Toyota Truck Lineup:

  • Toyota Tacoma: Standard 3.5L V6 engine. Able to tow up to 6,800 pounds.
  • Toyota Tundra: 2 engines available, both variations of a 3.4L Twin-Turbo V6. Able to tow up to 11,120 pounds.
  • Toyota Tundra i-FORCE MAX: Standard Hybrid 3.4L Twin-Turbo V6 engine. Able to tow up to 12,000 pounds.

These lineups don’t take into account upcoming entries, like the Ford F-150 Lightning, the first all-electric Ford pickup, or the Ford Super Duty, a future Ford work truck that can be upfitted for specialized jobs that require large amounts of power.

Ford vs. Toyota: Warranty Coverage

When it comes to warranty coverage, Ford and Toyota have more similarities than differences. Both come with a new vehicle limited warranty that will cover your vehicle for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The same can be said for the powertrain coverage, where both manufacturers offer a warranty that covers the first five years or 60,000 miles. No matter which you choose, Ford or Toyota, you can have peace of mind as you cruise the West Jordan roads.
